Zoovies at Rosamond Zoo
With summer right around the corner and with kids enjoying their freedom from school the Friends of the Zoo has created the perfect movie night experience with Zoovies. What is Zoovies you ask? It’s a family-friendly event at Rosamond Gifford Zoo that will place after-hours with a movie on a jumbo screen in the zoo’s courtyard. The door for this out of the box movie experience opens at 6 p.m. with the movies being shown at dusk (around 8:30 p.m.). Zoovies will take place rain or shine. Please note if the weather isn’t cooperating; the movie viewing will take place in the indoor banquet facility. There will refreshments available to purchase including hot dogs, popcorn, light snacks the Courtyard Café. Limited seating is available at the zoo’s picnic tables. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to set up in the courtyard. Zoovies are $5 for members and $10 for non-members and include zoo admission and the movie screening. Children younger than 2 are free. Tickets must be purchased for each individual movie.
