Utica’s Annual Tomato Pie Day Saturday
If you are from Central New York and don’t live under a rock you have tried, devoured and raved about a Utica staple – tomato pie! You can find it practically on every corner bakery/pizzeria and they have all come together to share their love of dough, sauce and parmesan cheese from Noon – 4 p.m., Saturday, April 7 at the Parkway Center, 220 Memorial Parkway, Utica for Utica’s Annual Tomato Pie Day. Every place will say they are the best and they probably are because even though tomato pie has the same main three ingredients they also put their own twist on it. Foodies will get the chance to sample their favorite pie from different joints throughout CNY and be able to vote for their favorite! Bakers will also be on hand to dish about their famous treats. Make sure you bring your appetite because you won’t be leaving hungry!
Tickets are only $3 in advance but will go up to $5 at the door. So, that means don’t wait – get them now. Children younger than 10 are free. To purchase tickets, visit http://iloveuticany.com/product/2018-tomato-pie-day-admission/
