Trump rally fires up supporters at Griffiss
Central NY was treated to a media feverish frenzy when Donald Trump made a stop at Griffiss A.F.B in Rome, NY this past Tuesday. Young and old traveled from across the Mohawk Valley to partake in Mr. Trump’s campaign rally that reached attendance of nearly 5,000 attendees. Everyone got a chance to hear his thoughts and ideas for themselves to help make their final decisions before they vote – clear and uncensored by what “The Donald” considers a corrupt and biased national media. He spoke about the normal issues you see in the media such as trade, immigration and his un-waivered determination to defeat ISIS. What stood out the most was his ability to recognize other candidate’s accomplishments, which is rarely shown on national media outlets. Not to say he did not take aim at his current favorite targets Hillary Clinton and as Mr. Trump calls him “Lyin Ted Cruz.” All in all it was great for CNY to have such a business, entertainment and social media icon recognize our area and made specific reference to our local economy naming businesses that have been outsourced, most notably Carrier – as he made a joke about not speaking of air conditioners to the crowd. Mr. Trump can excite a crowd like no other and did that with his plan about building a wall for border control as he prompted the crowd to answer who was going to pay for it –“MEXICO” they chanted in unison. The presence of possibly America’s next President was nothing but a positive one with very little protesters outside the bomber hangar as seen at other campaign stops. It has been a very long time since a Presidential candidate made a stop in the Mohawk Valley and who knows – he may become our 45th president, but “The Donald” controls his own fate.
We got an opportunity to photograph Mr. Trump’s campaign stop. Team Fuze would like to thank him and his staff for the top notch professionalism and attention to detail surrounding the event. Here are our pictures from the day, we hope you enjoy!
