Taste of Country conquered the mountain
Recently Hunter Mountain showed fans of Country Music just what a good time was with the Taste of Country Music Festival. Between the camping, people who stayed at hotels or just drove in daily – the grounds were packed nonstop. The weather couldn’t have been any better for the weekend of events; in the high 80’s making the fans hot but the action on the stage was even hotter. The mountain was jammed packed with action that included music for concert goers, several different types of food to be had, beer, and soda, water and don’t forget the mechanical bull to try out your skills on. One of the more popular attractions was the chair lift that took you to the top of the mountain and back – what a great view of the area from high above. “Gives you that slight sense of freedom like no other” what a great way to relax and collect your thoughts.
I had the opportunity to talk too many of the fans of how many times they’ve been to Hunter Mountain and where they were from. Many from other nearby states to NY and many had traveled from quite a distance away. There were some first timers to the event and many had been there every year and will be back again. It was a great way to start out the summer, getting the family out to enjoy a weekend long of music from some big names in country music. And most of all family time, fans of all ages were at the event. Capturing photos throughout the event got the attention of the fans several different times once they noticed they were on camera, the smiles and waves were just a small part of the action.
Hot action taken place on the stage came from the likes of Kip Moore, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Brooke Eden, Tyler Farr, Joe Nichols, Cody Johnson, Courtney Cole, Smithfield, Steve Moakler, Morgan Myles, RaeLynn, Chris Young, Maddie & Tae, Jason Aldean, Dylan Jakobsen and Jackson Michelson. The amount of action packed into one weekend is a huge draw for New York being it’s the biggest country music festival in the north east. And, let’s not forget the scenery of being surrounded by mountains will leave you in aww. Due to illness Sam Hunt was not able to perform which left the fans saddened but Kip Moore did an extended set and gave the fans one hell of a show. The festival has already announced next year’s headliner – Eric Church! We are just as excited as the fans for next summer.
