Spend the weekend at the Boonville Snow Festival

 

Boonville, New York Snow Festival 2010The Boonville Snow Festival takes place at the Boonville Fairgrounds Friday through Sunday, Feb. 6-8. There will plenty to do for the entire family. Hundreds of racers will compete for the glory, fame and let’s not forget fun. Make sure to dress appropriate for this outside an event and have the proper head gear – it will get loud with all the racing. Don’t want to miss anything? Then, bring a hand held radio so you can hear all the action no matter where you are on the grounds. WBRV/WLLG “The Moose” will be broadcasting throughout the weekend. There will be concessionaires and vendors in and around the Kiwanis Building. Week-end passes are available and children 12 and under are admitted free accompanied by an adult.

Majestic Fireworks

Majestic Fireworks of Clinton, will once again brighten the skies over Boonville with a spectacular display of fireworks on Saturday, Feb. 7 at approximately 7 p.m. over Erwin Park in Boonville.

‘Friday Night Thunder’

Racing Under the Lights. Bring your family to the Boonville Fairgrounds Friday, Feb. 6 to watch the opening ceremonies of the 9th Annual Boonville Snow Festival. The night’s event kicks off with a Super Snowmobile Torchlight Parade at 6:30 p.m., Boonville Snow Festival opening ceremony with the raising of the colors, blessing of the track and introduction of the 2015 Grand Marshal. Friday Night Thunder will get underway under the lights as soon as the track is cleared from the parade. Spectators can park on the fairgrounds through the Dolan Gate.

Snow2Snowmobile Torchlight Parade in Boonville

Anyone interested in participating in the Boonville Snow Festival Snowmobile Torchlight Parade on Fridayt, Feb. 6 should arrive at the Boonville Town Barn next to the Tops Plaza on Route 12 in Boonville at 6 p.m. Entrants must have proof of insurance. The parade will start at approximately 6:30 p.m. and will leave the Town Barn and cross Route 12 into Erwin Park and will cross the covered bridge. It will then proceed up Schuyler Street onto Main Street, continuing up Schuyler Street, and then left onto Summit, and will then enter the Boonville Ice Oval at the Zeigler Gate. The parade will proceed in front of the grandstand. Following the parade there will be a raising of the colors by the Color Guard, a blessing of the track and introduction of this year’s Grand Marshal. The parade will then exit the track at turn 1.
