Southern rock meets Swamp at the Stanley

The Stanley Center for the Arts recently hosted one of the best southern rock bands – Marshall Tucker Band and the unique stylings of The Swamp Drivers. The Swamp Drivers opened the show showcasing their handmade instruments that are made out things you have never seen before like a garden hoe, plunger, cigar box, a Mustang hubcap and frying pan. They got the crowd on their feet and warmed up the stage for the Marshall Tucker Band. If you haven’t checked these guys out yet we strongly suggest you do – they rock!
The Marshall Tucker Band fired up the crowd with the spectacular flute playing of Marcus James Henderson to the fabulous guitar playing of Chris Hicks and Rick Willis. Utica was treated with an arrangement of hits including some of their rare tracks. The fans were dancing and singing along to their favorite tunes for a night of unforgettable music.
We were able to capture some of the special moments of the night. Enjoy!
