For eight years now Utica has shined with the Utica Music & Arts Festival and this year is no exception. With more than 100 artists coming together to show off their musical and artistic talents at various locations throughout Utica this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11 and 12. Tickets for this one of a kind festival is only $10. One can expect music from indie rock, hard hitting rock, smooth sounds of jazz, powerful vocals of singer-song writers, hip, funk and everything in between.

This year they are bringing the art to you. Artists will feature their works at venues throughout Utica during the festival that include: Tony Thompson and Timothy Rand at Lukin’s Brick Oven Pizza on Varick Street, Molly Shaw and Sunford Cardinale at O’Donnell’s Pub & Grill on Varick Street, Lina Feliciano at Nail Creek Pub & Brewery on Varick Street, Constance Avery and Constance Denchy at Harlee’s Pub & Grill on Whitesboro Street, and Kathy Donovan and Steve Nyland at Tiny’s Grill on State Street. A great combination to us – music and art. Make sure to keep a lookout for some live art happening during the festival and stop by and say hello.

Another unique experience that UMAF has to offer is the world of spinning beats, hard beats, and dance beats all in one location for one night. D.A. Bentley’s is hosting DJ crews Saturday from all over the Utica area. Beats will be spinning on their outdoor and indoor stages. After a night of dancing stop over to the Broken Egg (next door) for some much needed fuel – breakfast.

Whether you are music lover or an art lover – UMAF has something for everyone. And, you can’t go wrong for $10 – 2 days of music and arts. Sounds like a win for everyone. Make sure you let everyone know what is going on and all the great things you are experiencing at UMAF by including #UMAF2015 hashtag.

To purchase your $10 tickets, visit https://www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/852927?utm_medium=bks. You can also purchase your official UMAF wristband at any participating venue.

We have included the official UMAF schedule so you can make your plans now. We don’t want “U” missing your favorite artist!
