Scare-A-Con brings the horror to Turning Stone




Everyone loves a good scary, horror flick. This weekend (Sept. 11-13) highlights everything from blood, gore, danger, killers mixed with celebrities, vendors and a film fest during the Scare-A-Con at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino located at 5218 Patrick Road in Verona. Tentative hours are 3 to 9 p.m., Friday; 11a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday.

One of the features vendor that you must stop and see is Troma. They will offer some epic horror flicks and merchandise. There will also have a meet and greet with Lloyd Kaufman and free autographs. And, don’t forget the Toxic Avenger and Tromettes.

For all you Dukes of Hazzard fans John Schneider will be there to talk about his new flick “Smothered” which will also be featured at the film fest at 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11. The flick focuses on five horror icons that ditch an unprofitable autograph signing convention to earn some extra cash by haunting an RV park, but instead finds themselves being haunted instead.
