Sara Evans performs at Vernon Downs
Power house country singer Sara Evans is coming to the Vernon Downs Casino at 8 p.m., Friday, July 3 at their 4229 Stuhlman Road location in Vernon. Tickets are only $15 with all proceeds benefiting the Food Bank of Central New York. Even better the Chairman of American Racing & Entertainment, Jeff Gural will personally donate $15 for each ticket sold. How great is that? $15 for a night of music with Sara Evans; all while helping people in need. So, let’s all come together and help meet their goal of $100,000.
Evans released her seventh album, Slow Me Down which is the title track that toppled the country charts. Evans has delivered an album that reveals a vibrant tapestry of emotion from the truthful resignation of “Good Love is Hard to Find” to her autobiographical ode to contentment on “Sweet Spot.” “You Never Know” is a cautionary tale about the fragility of relationships. Love, heartache and desire swirl throughout the album. “That’s intentional and it’s pretty typical for me,” says Evans, who co-wrote three of the 11 songs on the album. “I try to give my fans a little bit of everything that I am and everything that I like, but nothing is ever contrived.” (http://saraevans.com/sara/)
