Santa’s Workshop benefits The Evelyn House
Mandi Lynn Events recently put on Santa’s Workshop at the Radisson Hotel Utica Centre in Utica to benefit The Evelyn House of Utica. Non-perishable food items and toys were collected throughout the day. Mandi Kline reflected on the day as a huge success: “Santa’s workshop turned out to be a huge success. Kids and families both gathered and enjoyed the afternoon, while we collected lots of toys and non-perishable food items for The Evelyn’s House.”
The Evelyn’s House is designed to provide a safe and supportive home to young mothers and their babies while residing at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish House in South Utica. On site house staff is available to provide support, training, and assistance 24 hours a day. The home can accommodate up to 6 young mothers and their children for a maximum stay of 2 years. During their stay at Evelyn’s House the program goal is to provide the residents with opportunities to obtain parenting, education/vocational and life skills needed to become self-sufficient productive members of the community.
