Rewind: Black Stone Cherry & Cadillac Three
Black Stone Cherry & Cadillac Three brought the Town of Jordan NY to life recently at Kegs Canal Side. With the mix of covers from Black Stone along with originals to the Southern Rock from Cadillac Three they kept the crowd intrigued and dancing through the night. Fans came out to see this show even from other states.
Black Stone Cherry opened the night and gave everything they had and then some – “as if they were the headliners.” The energy of the crowd matched that of the bands. Black Stone’s guitar player was jumping around and kicking nonstop to the drummer throwing his sticks up in the air while playing. The whole band covered the stage as if they’ve been there before. And, when they asked the crowd if they enjoyed the show and wanted to see them come back, of course the crowd roared.
Cadillac Three and their long hair don’t care southern rock show brings it to the stage and doesn’t ever disappoint. The trio has been to Kegs three times prior and the fans still come every time to see them like the last. Fans hung out and tailgated waiting for what would be a memorable night for some time to come. Many drummers of bands are tucked away behind their kit, Neil Mason is quite the opposite with his drums high up on a platform and can often be found up on his feet smashing down on his cymbals or encouraging the fans to sing along. Jaren Johnson the lead singer works his way through the night with song after song.
While showing the fans it’s not all about numbers it’s about ability to showcase what the band is all about. Kelby Ray working the steel and adding in that added touch of his southern style. Amongst all the red & blue lights and a fog machine pumping a heavy haze all night the band may not be able to be seen clearly at times but sure can be heard.
