Mama Strawberry will be bringing this year’s 5th Annual Strawberry Jam Family Reunion to Englewood Mountain, 216 Crow Hill Road, Laurens, NY from Noon to 10 p.m., Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17 with a pre-party kicking off Thursday, May 14.

They will also be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead and the remembrance of the two decades since Jerry Garcia left.

There will also be a Pre-Party that you will not want to miss Thursday, May 14 for an extra $15 that will include Universal Transit with more special performers. Be sure to arrive early (get your prime camping spot before everyone else) joins in on the fun with the main festival starting Friday, May 15. There are very limited supplies of VIP PASSES which include all the nights, premium camping locations, Green Room access, and a bucket load of swag and bennies. Get them before they are gone.

They will have a Food Drive and Free Store (any and all donations accepted), all items at the end of weekend we will donate to a local pantry. Again, they are planning the Family Village with lots of inter-active arts and crafts and a Kids Kamp with a dedicated Family Camping area away from the main camping, so bring the little one (12 and under are free).

STRAWOnce again they will have their Crystal, Rock and Gem Show. There will be YOGA classes, assorted workshops, community bon fires, live Fire Spinners, artists and craftsmen, big drum circles, disk golfing on a real golf course and more. There will be a Shakedown Street, and approved vending is welcome with a contribution to the pantry.

Weekend passes include camping through Sunday, May 17. Stay-over camping for Monday, May 18 departure will be available at the gate for an additional $10. There will be a Day Parking Lot for those staying at one of the area hotels or B&Bs. RV and Car camping is available on a first come basis, which is all the more reason to come to the pre-party. A Shuttle Service will be provided for those who are camping.

STRAWBERRYThere will be several community bon fire circles. Individual campfires, even for cooking, are prohibited which will be strictly enforced. They also ask that you do not bring firewood to the festival. They will provide all the firewood wood to the community fires so you don’t have to, and here is why. “We love our world and the environment, and especially this gem of a venue we will be at. The spread of evasive species, like the Asian Longhorn beetle and the Emerald Ash Borer, threaten our very forests, and we need trees in our lives, So please help out and cooperate with this policy so we can have a sustainable planet and a green festival for years to come.”
