MWPAI hosts Arts Festival

 

10509722_10152486900755801_6495673378535626185_nThe Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute is hosting their annual Arts Festival Tuesday, June 30 through Sunday, July 5. The festival hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at their 310 Genesee St. location in Utica. Come out an experience the vibrant display of artwork, live music, mural painting, antique autos and much more. There also will be a Craft Show for all you craft lovers out there. And, they haven’t forgotten about the kids; there will be fun-filled activities and crafts for them throughout the day. They are also offering a special guided tour of the exhibit “Monet to Matisse: The Age of French Impressionism” on a daily basis.

 

 

Here is a breakdown of the events and schedule for the Arts Festival

 

 

Invitational Craft Show

936469_10151717253250801_1815798070_nNew this year, a distinguished group of high-quality arts and crafts exhibitors have been selected for an exciting, by-invitation-only, outdoor craft show. The MWPAI Invitational Craft Show will be held 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday July 3 and 4 in the outdoor Sculpture Grove. This craft show will feature unique arts and crafts artists displaying a variety of creative media available for purchase. Media will include jewelry, glass, painting, photography, wood, candles, soaps and body products, fabric and fiber arts and more.

 

 

 

Steamroller Printing

The Big ‘Ol Steamrollin’ Print Invitational, 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 3, is a steamroller printing event organized by the School of Art.  Come and watch as 20 invited artists get their carved relief artwork on over-sized woodblocks, inked and printed under the drum of a two-ton steamroller. Sponsored by Central Paving, SCI Plywood, and Blick/Utrecht

 

 

 

Antique and Classic Car Show

CARThe finest automobiles ever created will be exhibited in the annual Antique and Classic Car and Motorcycle Show 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 5. Featured vehicle is the Corvette.

The Antique and Classic Car Show is presented by MWPAI in association with the Mohawk Motorcades Automobile Club.
