KRockathon 20 promises to be one of the best
One of the most anticipated events of Central New York’s summer is upon us once again. KRockathon 20 is one of the largest rock shows in the area and features tons of incredible bands, just one of many reasons music enthusiasts of all ages wait anxiously for this day-long event that will take place Saturday, July 25 at Chevy Court, NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse. The party might kick off in the parking lot but the music starts jumpin’ off at 12:30 p.m. Held in the heart of our area’s brief summer, this concert is not only about the music, but socializing with people from all different walks of life that are all gathered in one place, united by their shared love of great music. Along with an impressive list of bands there will of course also be food, beverages, vendors and swag!
We all have our favorite memories from a KRockathon past, mine being getting a tattoo on a bus right before My Darkest Days hit the stage. This was only one of several KRockathons I attended and each one has its own “charming” story, not just for me of course, but everyone who attends…and remembers the next day. Let’s face it, we party hard here in CNY, but I digress. The point is if you haven’t gone yet, you should, it’s sure to be unforgettable.
The set times list looks like a playlist from my “dream iTunes,” and proceeds as follows:

1:40-2:10 p.m. – Fit for Rivals

Advance sale tickets cost $42 plus surcharges and are available at www.krockathon.com as well as Sav On Convenience Stores, NAPA Auto Parts, Bodified in Oswego, Comix Zone in North Syracuse and various other locations throughout Central New York.
So rally all your favorite party buddies and head to one of the most large-scale, delightfully insane gatherings of the summer, and as I always remind my readers, be safe, be responsible, look out for each other and don’t forget your sunscreen. It’s a long, hot day of rockin’ out there.
