Kip Moore gives high energy performance
Summer may be coming to an end but the music scene is still hot off the charts at Kegs Canal Side in Jordan, NY. Fans of all ages filed into the concert venue to see Kip Moore. The extreme summer heat and humid temps didn’t stop the few thousand in attendance from enjoying hours of country music on a recent Saturday night.
Kicking off show time was the well-known local band TJ Sacco. These guys didn’t let any of the grass grow under their feet when they hit the stage. Fans loved these guys with the long list of cover music that they play. Many people stood at the stage to hold their spot for the up close view. While others sat and chilled in lawn chairs or use blankets. TJ and his band covered songs such as “Drunk Last Night,” “Country Girls shake it for me.”
Brandon Ray is on tour and opened up for Kip Moore. Ray is set to release an EP in September and not only is on the rise to the top but is fanning friendly and has a helluva stage presence; this guy keeps the fans dancing. The chants of USA, USA, Brandon asked the light crew can’t we get some lights on the crowd. The spotlight didn’t cover the massive crowd so he asked everyone to take out their cell phones and turn on the flashlight which made a world of a difference. Ray exclaimed that this was the best crowd he has ever played in front of – this crowd is wild! Fans learned about his songs came about like “89 Ford” and how when he started out driving his dad gave him an old 1989 Ford Ranger thought it was badass until he had to fix it every day. His set list covers some cover tunes of fan favorites and original songs of “How Bout It,” “Runnin Outta Moonlight,” “American Way,” “Jealous,” “Gas On The Fire,” “The South,” “Sad Song,” “Mariah,” “Highway To Hell,” “89 Ford,” “Drink You Away,” “21Tonight,”and “Friends In Low Places.”
When Kip Moore hits the stage the crowd goes wild with their phones in hand to capture the moment to share on social media for their friends that missed the concert. Kip Moore rocked the stage and had the entire place singing along and loving every word. He also genuinely thanked his fans – which many had purchased his hats or shirts to show their support. The words of his songs will “suck you right in.” Kips voice fits everything he sings. He’s not afraid to share some of the experience behind the songs he has written. Further into the night kip raised a big bottle of Jack Daniels to toast the crowd, even though most were drinking beer while waiting to hear his song “BEER MONEY.” His slow but also peppy set list included “Wild Ones,” “Beer Money,” “Stay With Me,” “In The Middle,” “I’m To Blame,” “Come & Get It, Backseat,” “Cigarette,” “Hearts Desire,” “That’s Alright With Me,” “What Ya Got On Tonite,” “Running For You,” “Acoustic Last Shot,” “Acoustic Where Are You Tonight,” “Dirt Road,” “Fly Again,” “Pretty Girl,” “Truck,” “Magic” and “That Was Us.” Kip also stayed behind at the end of the show to sign some autographs for his awesome fans.
We were there to capture the night through our lens. Enjoy!
