Keeping it fresh with Coolio & friends

Salt N Pepa

Salt N Pepa

It might be 2016 but the Stanley is going back in time Friday, Feb. 26 with the “I Love the 90s Tour.” Some of your favorite performers will be spinning their beats, spitting out rhymes from some of your favorite songs, shaking the house down with one hit after another. Taking center will be Coolio who is known for one of the greatest rap hits “Gansta’s Paradise;” the all-girl power house trio Salt N Pepa who had every girl trying to rap in the mirror with hits like “Shoop” and “Let’s Talk About Sex;” breaking down the beats with hits like “It Takes Two” and “Joy and Pain” Mr. Rob Base; and heating things up with his sexy, deep voice with “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina” is none other than Tone Loc. And, what a better way to get things started is with one of Utica’s own Apache Chief – who just signed a record deal with Prospect Music Group. Make sure you get there early to check him out!

The Stanley Center for the Arts is located at 259 Genesee St. in Utica. Tickets start at $30 and be purchased online at, by phone at 315-724-4000 or at the Stanley Box Office.

If you think the fun stops there Kiss-FM is taking it to another level with the “After Party” at the Radisson Hotel right after the curtain comes down. All you will need is your ticket stub and $25 to enter (Only the first 400 will have access). Coolio and Tone Loc will be partying – we mean meeting with some of their favorite fans. So, you won’t want to miss it and you never know what surprises will be in store for the night. None other than Kiss-FMs Brandon C and MDub will be dropping the beats and mixing it up all night. You must be 21+ to attend.
