“Holiday with the Hamiltons” gives back to the community

happy-thanksgivingTwo local residents Jason and Cymil Hamilton are giving it back with “Holiday with the Hamiltons.” They want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy a delicious meal with their family this Thanksgiving. Not everyone can afford a turkey and all the fixings that go along with it and they are doing their part to help make that happen. They are reaching out to the community for donations to help feed as many families as they can. They will be giving it back from 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14 at Ski Chalet, 222 Memorial Parkway in Utica. They also will be serving a Thanksgiving buffet style dinner. They are seeking nonperishable items, food baskets and donations. Two local businesses Next Level Barber Shop & Salon, 8449 Seneca Turnpike, New Hartford and Next Level Athletic Performances, 9225 River Road, Marcy will have drop off boxes for people to drop donations off. For more information, volunteer or to donate, call Jason Hamilton at 235-5676 or Cymil Hamilton at 542-6928 or visit https://www.facebook.com/events/972883839437964/976965559029792/.  Thanksgiving is about being thankful for family and loved ones and this event is a perfect way to share the love this holiday season.

To ensure that the turkeys are fresh and stored properly until the time the families take delivery we prefer NOT to accept direct donations of turkeys. We have been working directly with Price Chopper Supermarkets’ main office to supply us directly with the turkeys the day of the event. They have provided us with a GREAT price for our 50 family goal. 50 12-15lb. turkeys will be $934 plus sales tax for a total of $1,015.73.
