Help make history at the Frozen Dome Classic

 

10410857_371188403057411_4997871662280847636_nHockey fans get ready for a day packed with action at the Frozen Dome Classic Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Carrier Dome, 900 Irving Ave., Syracuse. The first round kicks off at 1 p.m. with the Fire & Police Classic at 1 p.m., followed by an intense match up with Utica College and Oswego State at 3 p.m. Things heat up with strong rivals the Utica Comets and Syracuse Crunch at 7 p.m.

Want to get there early and get yourself pumped for all the action? Don’t miss the official pregame party for the Utica Comets at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center, 801 University Ave., Syracuse (1-7 p.m.). Audie and the Comettes will be making an appearance while the DJ spins the beats for all the Utica Comets fans in attendance. There will be food and beverages available also for purchase.

Don’t worry Crunch fans there is pregame party waiting for you at the Crowne Plaza, 701 E. Genesee St., Syracuse (3-6 p.m.). Stay warm with chili, hot dogs and hot chocolate. If you are thirstin’ for an adult beverage check out their pitcher special of Molson Canadian and Miller Lite for $4. And, there will be an ice bar outside and a dome hockey table in the lobby.

The day may be filled with hockey but stuntman Steve-O from the MTV hit series “Jackass” will be making an appearance during the intermission of the Comets vs Crunch game. Rumor has it that he will be launched across the ice with a giant slingshot. So, that means get your snacks and drinks before the break because you’re not going to want to miss this. You never know what crazy stunts he will be doing!

Former NHL stars Pat Verbeek and Glenn Anderson; former SU football star Joe Morris and SU Derrick Coleman will be in attendance. As well as ex-Crunch players Jon Mirasty and Zenon Kenopka will also be there. Make sure you have a pen/poster/paper handy for some autographs.
