Great American Irish Festival

Irish2Whether you are Irish or not – you don’t want to miss the Great American Irish Festival this weekend which takes place Friday, July 29 through Sunday, July 31 at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds, 133 Cemetery St., Frankfort. The Fairgrounds will look and sound more like the Emerald Isle this weekend that brings tens of thousands of people to Frankfort to soak in a bit of Irish culture.

The annual festival is a feast for the senses. As always, there will be an array of food vendors, including Irish fare, as well as beer tents and a wine garden. Merchandise vendors from across the United States and Ireland will be selling Irish and Celtic crafts, clothing, jewelry and more.

And then there’s the non-stop music that the festival is known for. Much of the emphasis this year is on introducing festival-goers to some exciting new acts.
