Falling From One

Falling From One

Well, CNY concertgoers, we have watched yet another of our brief summers fly by, but fear not… it isn’t over ‘til the shows stop. On Saturday, Aug. 8 from Noon until 11 p.m. at the Oswego Event Center, 3 Godfrey Road, Penneville there will be a show that’s going to whack you in the face with so much killer rock music, it’s actually called SMACK Fest. When looking at the line-up, all one thinks is, “oh, I’ve heard they put on a great show,” or, “I know those guys!” Essentially anyone in the area who likes to watch rockers do what they do, wants to see this show, and seriously, if you’re planning to do something else that day, change it. You won’t want to miss what’s sure to be one of the hardest, loudest, most exciting concerts you’ll see all summer.

This venue boasts an 11 hour show time and 17 of your favorite bands such as 12 Stones, Boy Hits Car, KRASHKARMA, Eve to Adam, 3 Pill Morning, Brother Grey, Unbroken, Obsessed with Tragedy, The Amish Mafia, Bound for the Floor, Falling from One, Blame Anchor, Mole and The Level Antz, Dark Passenger, Blaming Hollywood, Enemy Down and NoMara.

12 Stones will be headlining SMACK Fest. This band flew onto the national music scene with such hits as “Lie To Me,” “My Life” & “Broken” that landed their songs in national box office hits and also on the WWE.  12 stones is also a KRockathon alumni amongst other major national festivals.  Their melodic sounds along with harmonic choruses are going to leave you having an eargasm and chanting for more!

Boy Hits Car

Boy Hits Car

Boy Hits Car is a powerhouse performer that is likely to win you over even if you’ve never heard them before. It’s the highest of high energy and explodes off the stage like a solar flare. Most seriously, the stage presence and performance of this band alone is worth the price of admission. Musically, fans can expect a nearly flawless performance that’s intense enough to feel G-force and grounded in modernized Alt Rock. Cregg Rondell (vocal/guitar) plays a 12 string in open tuning which gives the group their own unique spin under the hard rock umbrella.

KRASHKARMA

KRASHKARMA

KRASHKARMA recently just rocked it out at DFB (Dysfunctional Family Barbeque) in Syracuse. The crowd felt the love from the duo and left wanting more. This duo made up of Ralf Dietel and Nicole Skistimas brings the highest of energy while sharing vocal duties on stage. The band’s new album “Paint The Devil” which is slated to be released on October 16th 2015 through Eternal Sound Records is surely not going to disappoint! This hard rock band hails from Los Angeles, CA. If that doesn’t light you up, it gets better, all of these amazing bands will be offered for $15 if you buy presale tickets, and only $25 the day of the show. The day-long event will be held at The Oswego Event Center, and tickets are available through the following avenues:  www.GigSMACK.com, Monirae’s Casual Dining & Entertainment, participating Cam’s Pizzerias, Bodified in Oswego or via Stand Against Suicide. Hope to see you there!
