Frosty Forest at Green Lakes

DSC_0387Green Lakes State Park has created something magical with their Frosty Forest that takes place from 1 to 8:30 p.m. this Saturday, Jan. 23. Experience the forest and all the winter activities including following the clues to find frosty, building your own snow sculpture, a ride through the forest by a horse drawn sleigh, show off your carving skills with the ice sculpture contest, take a break and warm up by the fire and take a stroll under the stars at their moonlight snowshoe. Refreshments will be available in the Old Administration Building. If it’s too cold for you – sit by the fire and relax with a movie at 2 p.m. Vendors will be selling their treats at 4 p.m. Frosty Forest is free with a suggested donation of one non-perishable food item per car that will be given to a local food pantry. How can you go wrong with that? You get to have a fun day with the family experiencing the beauty of Green Lakes and helping someone in need. Green Lakes is located 7900 Green Lakes Road, Fayetteville. For more information, call 315-637-6111.
