Family fun at Frosty Forest
Green Lakes State Park will come alive with a magical Frosty Forest that takes place from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21. Experience the forest and all the winter activities including following the clues to find frosty, building your own snow sculpture (as long as there is snow), take a ride through the “forest” which really is Green Lakes by a horse drawn wagon ride, take your picture with Frosty and Yetti, take a break and warm up by the fire while enjoying some tasty refreshments from local food trucks that will be available in front of the Bathhouse. Vendors will be selling their treats from 1 to 4 p.m. Frosty Forest is free with a suggested donation of one non-perishable food item per car that will be given to a local food pantry. How can you go wrong with that? You get to have a fun day with the family experiencing the beauty of Green Lakes and helping someone in need. Green Lakes is located 7900 Green Lakes Road, Fayetteville. For more information, call 315-637-6111.
We have been reassured that with even the lack of snow that Frosty Forest will still take place. But it wouldn’t hurt if we all did the snow dance and help bring the magical forest to life.
