Everyone is crazy for meatballs


STORY1Get ready for the 7th annual March Meatball Madness from Noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, March 6 at Radisson Hotel Utica Centre, 200 Genesee St., Utica to benefit the Abraham House. This year organizers are not only looking for you to taste some of the best meatballs Central New York has to offer, but they also want you to vote for your favorite. Several restaurants and local chefs are vying for top honors and with your help they can achieve it. Besides filling your bellies there will be music, a meatball eating contest, raffles, drawings and more! With Central New York being known for their food, they are also known for their generosity. And, the Abraham House is no exception – they help thousands of people who are in need of a home and all around help. So, come out with your appetite for meatballs and help those in need at the same time. That is called a win-win in our book! Tickets for the event are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 5-17 – seniors 65 plus, and FREE for children younger than 5. Those with a Military ID, tickets will be available at the door for a discounted rate.

The Abraham House is a comfort care home based in Utica, NY. It’s based on the model of a family caring for a loved one at home; their surrogate caregivers provide loving and compassionate care. Their around the clock care is provided free of charge. They rely solely on community support and donations to maintain and run their home.
