Country artists captured hearts at Kegs
Back II Back Entertainment continues to bring some of the top music entertainment to a small town called Jordan NY all while working with the owner over at Kegs Canal Side to host the events that fans are never disappointed in. The most recent installment of this was Small Town Shade, William Michael Morgan and Craig Campbell.
Small Town Shade opened the show and got the fans primed for the night. Right on cue as soon as the doors opened the crowd rushed in and the music started flowing. Seeing that Kegs is general admission, concert goers know to grab a spot by the stage and stay put so they can see their favorite acts up close and personal. Small Town Shade is a local band from Cortland that is no stranger to Kegs and performed a mix of country favorites along with some pop hits from the airwaves. They had no problem getting the crowd to dance and grabbing their attention. With a shorter set the band’s set largely focuses around covers and a few of their own songs. Their debut record release is Dec. 17 and they plan to party it up, and get the fans connected with what they have been working on.
Set list: “We Are Tonight,” “Gonna Know We Were Here,” “Fortunate Son,” “Ring It Up,” “Nobody To Blame,” “How Country Feels,” “Snapback,” “Fix,” “Somebody Like You,” “Tryin’ To Be Cool,” “I Hold On,” “American Country Love Song,” “Already Callin’ You Mine,” “Runaway,” “Song For Another Time,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” & “No Scrubs.”
One could say they thought they knew what to expect from William Michael Morgan and just like that he blew the crowd away. He sang a few of the songs from his new album for the audience with an overwhelmingly enthusiastic reaction from the crowd. Morgan left his fans wanting to hear more and more and he had the crowd fully involved. The entire crowd was up on their feet dancing and singing along to Morgan’s smooth voice and charming personality that reached out to his fans. Morgan even complimented how beautiful the ladies were in the crowd. When he played “I Met A Girl” William Michael Morgan made it feel like he was just singing to personally to you.
Set list: “People Like Me,” “Little To Late,” “Are You Sure,” “Beer Drinker,” “Backseat Driver,” “Cheap Cologne,” “Folsom,” “Look Good In My Truck,” “Keep Your Hands,” “Vinyl,” “Missing,” “I Met A Girl,” “Pulled A Hank.”
Craig Campbell is like a firecracker on stage that is just waiting for the right time to explode. He keeps you on edge the entire time and keeps you wondering what’s next. His set list is basically perfection. In the middle of the show two people who won tickets got to sit at his piano bar on the stage and down some shots of moonshine with him, while he played “don’t stop believing” and Idina Menzel’s “Let it Go”. Obviously one is legendary, and the other is still stuck in his head thanks to his daughters. Whether it is a mashup or mix of traditional country music the fans in the crowd never get disappointed. Campbell and his band also stayed around and had a few drinks with fans that lingered in the bar after the concert.
Set list: “Shindig,” “My Little Cowboy,” “Outta My Head,” “Medley of Band Intros,” “Don’t Stop Believin,” “Mas Tequila Por Favor,” “Outskirts,” “Winnebago,” ‘Royals / Laydown,” & “Kisses Coming.”
Morgan and Michael did meet & greets with a slew of fans during the show but also signed autographs for anyone who purchased merch from them after the show.
