Christmas comes alive on Main Street
Every year Christmas revelers come together to celebrate the upcoming holiday season at Christmas on Main Street. This year the festivities take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21 at Union Station, 311 Main St., Utica. Get the family together for a day filled with music, laughter and the magic of Christmas. They will be serving up free popcorn and cookies with deliciously sweet hot cocoa to wash it down. And, a fun little treat that is being offered to everyone is Breakfast with Santa at the Trackside Restaurant located right next to the train station. Breakfast also includes a child’s photo with Santa & Elsa, admission to the Children’s Museum and all day free rides on Scotty’s Train. Get your tickets now before they sell out! Several activities have been planned throughout the day for the entire family including the funny and crazy Ziyara Shriners Clowns with their balloon animals, Scotty’s Kids Games, Zoo Mobile Petting Zoo, Kid’s Oneida Stickers and we can’t forget about the parents – there will be a Holiday Craft Fair and the Oneida County Public Market will be open. Celebrate the magic with free wagon rides from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Santa and Elsa will be arriving at 12:15 p.m. Make sure you have your camera ready.

1 p.m. – Joe Angerosa (Elvis Christmas)
2:30 p.m. – Butler-Sheehan Irish Dancers
3 p.m. – Jim Okey Magic Show
3:30 p.m. – Edelweiss Schuhplatter German Dancers
4 p.m. – Marabella Colon, Genesis Almanzar and Kirianna Vargas
5 p.m. – New Horizon Barbershop Chorus (outside)
The Children Museum is also bringing something special to the event – The Elf Walk from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. A winter wonderland walk with all your favorite elves, carolers and so much more. There will also have holiday art projects, Christmas raffles, a scavenger hunt and an Elf Café featuring the movie Elf throughout the day. Admission is only $5.
