Chris Lane was “All About You” at Kegs
The Night kicked off with ladies and gents milling through the doors of Kegs Canal Side cloaked in spooky Halloween costumes and they were amped up for some good ole’ Country music. What seemed like an eternity for the music to start up it made the fans all that much more excited when it did. Briana Jessie who was home visiting CNY from Nashville TN, did a few country hits with her good friend Chad Mac. Chad plays in a local CNY band with TJ Sacco, but on this night he helped Briana entertain the fans with his guitar. Jessie has lived here in NY and won awards throughout the state, but decided awhile back that Nashville is where she wanted to call home. She makes an appearance at Kegs every so often to greet her fans while she’s in town. Many people in the crowd yelled her name and whistled in support while they also had on their “Briana Jessie” T-shirts. Chad Mac & Briana are a great duo who had no problems owning the stage when they were up there.
Set list: Red by Taylor Swift, Angel From Montgomery – Bonnie Raitt’s Version, Mama’s Broken Heart, Unlove You, Strawberry Wine, Vice, It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To
Stephen Gage is no stranger to Kegs Canal Side and followed up the fabulous duo. Performing many of his original hits and had fans in the crowd singing along with him. He is much like many artists from the area have ventured to Nashville to make themselves known to the music world. Stephen has been working his way up that music ladder down there and he told the fans in attendance that he has recently done some work with Kane Brown in hopes of hearing some of the songs make it to radio play. During the set Stephen asked Briana Jessie join him back on stage for a couple songs – the already intense crowd became electric.
Set list: If I Had You, High Places, Setting The World On Fire, Don’t Look Down, Duet With You, Kiss and Break Up, 7 Years, Hometown, That’s That Groove
Rich Lauber from B104.7 came on the stage and asked “Who’s ready for Chris Lane?” Roars erupted from screaming fans that could’ve taken the roof off. Within moments the house lights went out, the stage lights went up shooting out what looked like a blue foggy haze. Then the music started coming out from the shadows with everyone in the venue going wild. The country-pop “music twist” gets the crowd moving and singing along immediately. Chris Lane fairly new to the music scene started out playing sports and had a serious injury leaving him no choice but to quit playing. Next he made the choice to pick up a guitar and put what skills he did have into music. Now he has a popular song “FIX” being played on Country music stations around the world. The energy he and his band brought to the stage was insane – dancing – clapping – one side of the stage to the other. During his set Lane took the time to honor those in our military and put up a toast to all men and women serving. One thing about Chris is he also likes to spend a good amount of time getting up close and personal with his fans – taking pics, high fives, fist pumps and handshakes with as many concert goers as possible. At another point he even brought a fan up on stage to serenade her with the song “All About You.” Fans reactions went from “I can’t wait to see the show tonight” to “I can’t wait until he comes back again.” After the show Lane met with a huge line of fans that were waiting for him sign some of their merchandise and hoping that will hold them over till his next stop back in New York State.
