View2Old Forge is heating up this Saturday, Feb. 20 with the View’s 10th Annual Chili Bowl Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their 3273 State Route 28 location. A variety of chili will be offered including some for our vegetarian friends, stews and soups that will be prepared by local restaurants. The interesting twist is that they will be served in no ordinary bowl but handmade bowls from their Pottery Workshop at the View. And, what goes better with chili than craft beer. The Fulton Chain Craft Brewery will be on hand serving some of their famous brews for free.

During the event they will be airing the Winter Carnival from 1956 in the background and there will be ceramic wheel throwing demonstrations from Noon to 1 p.m. Sue Kiesel will be presenting a slideshow at 2 p.m. about Adirondack wildlife and the Adirondack Mountains. Kiesel is asking viewers to bring either canned goods or give a donation for the Local Food Bank.

Prices range from $18-$25 with a custom bowl or it’s only $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12.
