Celebrate the Holidays Guide: Round 2
This weekend is filled with activities for all ages whether it’s shopping for your special someone at the local Holiday Craft Fair or hanging out with your ugly Christmas sweater wearing friends at Woodland Farm Brewery for their Ugly Sweater Christmas Contest. Central New York is filled with so many special people and wonderful events. It will be hard to say no to one of them. So, make your plans with whole family or your special someone and have fun this holiday season.
Saturday, Dec. 17
Breakfast with Santa – 8 to 11 a.m., RFA High School, 95 Dart Circle, Rome. Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves will all be at RFA to meet you and your family! Tickets: $6 per person and children younger than 5 are free. See any Travel Club member for pre-sale tickets. Tickets will be available at the door
Santa’s Last Holiday Shop – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Kallet Civic Center, 159 Main St., Oneida. Join us for a festive holiday shopping weekend at the Kallet Civic Center in Oneida. We’ll have Santa available all weekend, please being your children to see Santa for free! Free admission, the snack bar will be open. Local vendors, crafters, baked goods and more. We’re excited to bring this event back for its third year serving the community and bringing Santa for free to downtown Oneida. Also, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18
Holiday Mini Market – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Signature 81 Studios, 11 ½ W Park Row, Clinton. Join us for a holiday mini market featuring photography, paper goods, jewelry, and more! Live music and delectable desserts.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest – 11 a.m .to 3 p.m., Woodland Farm Brewery, 6002 Trenton Road, Marcy. Come hang out and wear your ugliest Christmas sweater! All ugly sweaters will be posted and shared on our Instagram and whoever gets the most likes will receive a $50 gift card courtesy of r1ck’s Roaming BBQ who will be serving up some special treats for this event! Our beertender, Randi, will be hooking up some special holiday treats on the randall! Black hole through candy canes? Can we cram a gingerbread house into a randall? MAYBE! Who knows?! Come and find out! Maynard Fire Department will be here between noon and 1 with a special jolly guest dressed in red! The winner for the contest will be announced at 3 p.m. Sunday at Woodland just before Nick Bontempo kicks off our Sunday music!
Reimagine Records 3rd Annual Christmas Party – 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Reimagine Records, 4530 Commercial Drive, New Hartford. Scott and Michelle will be celebrating their 3rd Annual Christmas. Celebrate this past year and to Thank all their loyal customers for their continued support and for making Reimagine Records a huge success. There will be snacks, sales, friends, great conversations and tons of fun. Please stop by Reimagine Records and help Scott and Michelle celebrate the Christmas season.
Santacon – Noon, various locations on Varick Street in Utica. The festivities start at the FX Matt Brewery with the bar crawl starting at 1 p.m. Bars Include: The Celtic Harp, O’Donnell’s, Nail Creek and Lukin’s. Proceeds benefit the Thea Bowman House.

Dinner and a Movie – 4:45 p.m., Rome Capitol Theatre, 220 W. Dominick St., Rome. We are once again partnering with our friends and neighbors at Brenda’s Natural Foods & Cafe. Tickets ($16) include a spaghetti dinner and a ticket to see either the 2:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. Saturday showing of “It’s A Wonderful Life.” If you’re interested in donating a ticket for “Dinner and a Movie” please call today (315-337-6453)!

Donation Breakfast with Santa – 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., West Winfield Fire Department, 373 W. Main St., West Winfield. Enjoy a wonderful spread of breakfast foods ranging from, Sausage Gravy, Biscuits, Pancakes, Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, French Toast and more. There will also be a Holiday Bake Sale, with a variety of Christmas baked goods. Bring your Christmas list and camera and visit with Santa. Every child will receive a gift from Santa.
Holiday Greater Utica MCS – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Skenandoa Club, 7105 Norton Ave., Clinton. 10 plus LuLaRoe consultants under one roof. Finish all your holiday shopping in one location. Bring an unwrapped gift for CNY Toys for Tots program to receive an raffle tickets to participate in a LuLaRoe silent auction.
The Brunch Before Christmas – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Beeches, 7900 Turin Road, Rome. ‘Twas the Brunch Before Christmas and all through the place… Our guests were were arriving with smiles on their face.
