Brad Paisley, Cam & Eric Paslay: Amazing
O….M….G…. I am still saying that days after the concert. I find myself thinking back to what a great show and all the things that just stand out to me! Cam, Eric Paslay and Brad Paisley are all so great together. Each one was as down to earth as the next, and so gracious while sharing the stage together to perform a few songs together at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena in Syracuse.
Cam opened the show full of energy. She was chatting with us fans while making everyone feel part of the show. Her cute little jokes and spunky personality coupled with her amazing talent make her a force to be reckoned with. It was a sea of lights while she performed her hit song “Burning House.” I can’t wait until she headlines her own tour. Believe me; it’s coming!
Eric Paslay followed her with an amazing performance. While he played his guitar he captured the audience with his smooth voice. With his hit songs “She Don’t Love You,” “Song About A Girl” and “Friday Night” he was tearing up the stage. He was all over the place making sure he gave every piece of himself to his performance. I must say though, that even though I loved his entire performance, my favorite part was his last song. He and the rest of his band slipped on their shades, Eric gave his guitar a rest and he shook and shimmied all over the place performing his new single “High Class.” Oh, and let me tell you, he has the rhythm and moves to go right along with his amazing voice!
The final changes were being made to the stage and all I could think was “Holy cow, his set up is fricken great!” A working bar, huge screen lit with different sayings and a countdown to Happy Hour, then throughout his entire set the screen played videos, cartoons and abstract images. Brad Paisley took the stage and that’s all she wrote. He played, he sang, he chatted, he signed and gave a guitar away to a young fan. He made every note sound like magic. He played to his fans on every level. Working the stage like it was his home while covering every inch of it so each fan had a chance to enjoy a touch of the hand or a close-up photo op. And, at times Brad took fans cell phones and took selfies or videos of himself. Seeing the excitement and reactions of those lucky cell phone owners was great. There was one point Brad even had Carrie Underwood on his huge screen to perform a virtual duet of “Remind Me.” He performed so many favorites. Cam even performed a duet with him signing his “Whiskey Lullaby,” which happens to be one of my all-time favorites of his. Now let’s not forget his own mascot … The Brad Paisley mascot ran around the stage shaking hands with fans while Brad sang “Celebrity.” I was very surprised at just how long he performed. He, Cam and Eric made sure that their performances were well worth the ticket prices. I would definitely go see that show all over again.
All I can say is what a way to start of the Country Concerts in 2016.
