The kids’ run takes place at 8:15 a.m., Saturday, July 8 at Mohawk Valley Community College, 1101 Sherman Drive, Utica. In its 29th year, the event is fun for kids and parents alike, and offers kids exposure to the sport of running while introducing them to the spirit of the Boilermaker. Runners in this non-competitive event receive a t-shirt, a gift, and refreshments after the run. In addition, all runners’ names are published in the Observer-Dispatch, which gives parents a great opportunity to record their child’s participation.
Showtime, Gridley Paige and Classified have created the ultimate “super group” to perform along with the disco diva herself – Maxine Nightingale. She will be performing her hit song “Right Back Where We Started From” at FX Matt Brewing Company, 811 Edwards St. (Back parking lot) Utica
