BCACONUSEWhat were you thinking of doing Sunday, May 31st? Well, what if I told you there is a festival taking place on a golf course during which you’re encouraged to eat as many different types of bacon as you like, sample as many bourbons as you can handle, and spend an eight hour day listening to awesome, live music? As if that weren’t enough what if I then told you that all the proceeds from this incredible event went to benefit Clear Path for Veterans? You’re in luck if this sounds like something you’d be into, because it’s all happening at the Bacon & Bourbon Festival from 1-10 p.m. at The Ridge Golf Club & Tavern, 1281 Salt Springs Road, Chittenango.

This Sunday at the Second Annual Bacon & Bourbon Festival there will be an estimated 50 different selections of fine bourbon to sample, as well as a new beer from the Erie Canal Brewing Company called “Amber Waves of Grain.” This beer, like the event itself, was designed specifically for Clear Path for Veterans. And of course at this event, where there is bourbon, there will be bacon… The menu for the day includes items such as the Basket of Bacon, Mac-n-cheese with Bacon, Smothered Pig Tails and more bacon, bacon, bacon!
