Utica comes together with music, fireworks

WOUR 96.9 and GPO Federal Credit Union are bringing back one of the biggest concerts this summer. Fireworks Over Utica will take place from 3 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23 at Hanna Park in Downtown Utica.
Drawing from all over the Mohawk Valley, this family event will feature live music all day leading up to a performance from the Outlaws! In addition to live entertainment, there will be food and cold drinks, a family zone and entertainment. The day ends with a spectacular fireworks display, set to music, lighting up the sky over Utica. This family event is part of the fabric of the Mohawk Valley and has been a civic event for many years. Price Chopper Hopper and Inflatables will be there from 3-8 p.m. and there also will be face painting with Coco.
