Animal for Animals Jam packed 12 North

The Animal for Animals events have been gracing our local stages for the past 9 years and was not only an important event to help raise money for our furry little friends, but a fun one for music lovers too. Several local bands joined together at 12 North Sports Bar as one this past weekend to help raise money for the Steven Swans Humane Society. The money raised helps care for stray animals until they’re adopted. The two day event is one of the largest fundraisers held in the Mohawk Valley area and it’s for a great cause. A steady stream of rock music fans kept the bartenders moving and the dance floor busy. And, let’s not forget the kitchen serving up some of the best finger foods in the area. What goes better with a nice cold drink better than some chicken wings? Nonstop music played for hours upon hours without missing a beat. Everyone who attended and donated helped make a bit of a difference for these animals. Nearly $50,000 over the course of 9 years has been raised. This year was impressive and the love was felt with a grand total of $6,322 being raised. Also the added plus is fans came out to see not only 1 or 2 of their favorite bands, but they got to see several all in one place. A lot of action took place each night including a beer chugging contest, raffles and a 50/50 that was graciously given back by the winner. We would like to thank Rich Massucci and Erica Moss of Bring ‘Em Down Productions for putting on such an amazing fundraiser year after year. Some of the bands that we were able to capture though our lens were: Glen Street, Nineball, Masons Revolt, Falling From One, The Bomb and Blame Anchor. We hope you enjoy!
